MEET JIMMY COOK
Sports broadcasting isn't a career for Jimmy Cook, it's a piece of who he is.
At the age of 8, he got his start broadcasting Butler University Men's Basketball games into a tape recorder from the rafters of Hinkle Fieldhouse. From there, he continued to hone his craft until high school where he studied under one of the top broadcasters in the state of Indiana.
Next, he headed to Indiana University where he called Men's and Women's basketball games, hosted his own sports tv show, and worked at CBS Sports Radio in Indy, all while earning his degree.
Currently, he is a Play-by-Play Voice for HallPass Media, the IHSAA Champions Network, and a broadcaster for the NBA Summer League.
A sports man of the people, Cook is working everyday to ensure fans who can't make the game, will feel like they have a courtside seat.
